I may have mentioned once or twice on this blog that I am a craft-oholic. I have no less than 7 different unfinished projects on the go at any one time. It’s a compulsion. I buy and stash fabric and borrow endless craft books from the library. The problem is that making things takes me quite a long time. I spent several months earlier this year making the Belle and Boo ‘Explorers Satchels’ for my children to use during our holiday in Cornwall. My plan was to fill them full of colourful pencils, a compass, notebooks, nutritious snacks, etc so they could have some Enid Blyton style adventures with them. The trouble is that the summer was almost over by the time I actually finished them. And the current estimated completion date for my crochet ‘blanket’ (or ‘handkerchief’ as my children affectionately call it) is December 2028.
